Unmanned systems (software) engineer
Your day as a unmanned systems engineer will look like this
You are enthusiastic about developing autonomous systems. You perform an in-depth study of client wishes and like to work in a multidisciplinary team to develop innovative products. You are not afraid of new technology and like to innovate. You have a broad interest in artificial intelligence, robotics and software. You will take the lead if required and you are fully aware of the commercial aspects in projects.
As an unmanned systems (software) engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of unmanned systems. You are someone who thinks in terms of systems and who is able to translate the wishes of the client into a set of system requirements and specifications, and you know how to bring this together in a system concept. You have knowledge of and experience with deep learning, dynamic simulation, navigation algorithms (for example, simultaneous localisation and mapping (SLAM)), sensor fusion, situational awareness and Robot Operating Systems (ROS).
What you will contribute
- At least a university degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Technical Physics
- At least 5 years of experience in developing software and/or robotics
- Knowledge of ROS, SLAM, Deep Learning and artificial intelligence
- Knowledge of or experience with different development methods and technologies and you keep your professional knowledge up to date
- You can assess risks perfectly
- Good conceptual capacity, result-oriented, energetic, passionate and you have strong analytical skills
