System architect Medical Devices
As our system architect Medical Devices, you are the technical partner of the Business Unit Manager. You enable progress in our teams and projects by connecting the engineering disciplines and driving technical decision-making. You have the natural influence to shape projects and you use your entrepreneurial streak to make things happen. You contribute to a diverse portfolio of medical system projects and inspire the project teams.
Your day as a system architect Medical Devices
As a system architect Medical Devices you convince customers that DEMCON will deliver what is needed using your experience in medical system development (hardware and software). You’ll become a confidant to the customers by solving their complex technical issues. You are the final decision maker for all technical aspects of the system design, from customer requirements to prototype and product delivery.
Equally important, you supervise technical teams of engineers to keep the pace and the quality of development high using risk-based decision-making. You lead, motivate and coach our engineers to create the optimal solution to the questions of our customers.
What do you bring?
- A relevant technical university-level degree
- At least 8 years of work experience;
- Knowledge of medical product development;
- Affinity with hardware development;
- Experience in working in development projects with direct customer contact;
- Leadership capabilities;
- Self-aware, self-starting, self-steering within DEMCON;

What do we offer?
We offer you the opportunity to help further develop our international Medical Systems business. The DEMCON branch in Best has a brand new building that houses our 130 engineers and staff. In addition, our location harbours two medical device companies, a prototyping lab and has room to grow. We have the ambition to attract start-ups in our ecosystem into our in-house business incubator. We are proud to develop complex technical systems together with our international customers for High Tech and Medical Device applications. We are small enough to operate on first name basis, but we are also able to tackle large complex projects . Thanks to enthusiastic and committed colleagues, the lines of communication in our organization are short and the working environment is open and informal.
