Internship: embedded frequency converter
Educational level: bachelor/academic
Duration: 6 months
In one of our products a 3 phase motor is implemented with an off the shelf frequency converter to drive the motor.
To make this component more efficient (mainly cost and space) the frequency converter can be implemented on a PCB.
The task of the assignment can be defined as:
- Setup a hardware architecture;
- Develop an embedded power scalable frequency converter;
- Integration of a demonstrator application.
Before starting your internship, it is usual to define a clear, framed and achievable assignment with everyone who is involved.
You will be a part of the electronics engineering department. During your internship, you will be supervised by one assigned electronics engineering colleague who is able to help and support you.
