Are you entrepreneurial, commercially minded and do you have affinity with technology? Do you enjoy working autonomously and building something from scratch? Then the vacancy of business development manager suits you!

 

Due to ambitious growth plans for our recently founded office in Singapore, Demcon is hiring a business development manager to join our team based in Singapore. We expect the working hours to be 24 to 40 hours a week.

 

Your challenge is to triple our market share in de Asian region with new customers. You achieve this by finding and developing new opportunities in the market, resulting in long-term customer relationships. It is important to form a good judgement about the technical problems and link the customer’s needs to the services that Demcon offers. You are part of a driven, committed and small team in Singapore. Demcon has 750 employees and its head office is located in the Netherlands.

 

Your day as a business development manager at Demcon

As business development manager you acquire new R&D engineering projects at (new) customers, specifically in Singapore and the Asian region. You are always looking for new opportunities and you know how to convert leads to customers. With your solid understanding of the Asian culture, you are able to convert cultural challenges into opportunities. You understand the Medical device market and have a strong technical knowledge. This makes you think along with the customer in broad terms and will identify the value Demcon brings to the customer.

 

What do you bring?

  • A completed (preferably technical) university education (MSc)
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong communication skills, persuasiveness and decisiveness, self-motivation
  • A large network in MedTech OEM companies
  • You feel at home in the DEMCON culture: enterprising, creative, a partner for clients and realisation-focused
  • Excellent in written and spoken English,
  • Experience with doing business in Asia Pacific countries including SE Asia, Japan and Korea, etc.
  • Willing to frequently travel (post-Covid19)
